NICKEL & NICKEL ALLOY PLATING

In order to prevent a corrosion of base metal by some corrosives penetrated through a micro-crack on the surface of chrome plating deposition, an undercoat of nickel plating, having no cracks on the deposition, is used fraquently to prevent a penetration of corrosives.
Chrome plating on the nickel deposition increases its functions such as corrosion and wear resistances, low coefficient of friction, high brilliance etc., and this Ni + Cr plating is used for plastic film making, paper, printing etc.

NICKEL ALLOY PLATING WITH HIGH HARDNESS

Nickel Alloy Plating, containing Cobalt, Tungsten etc. in the nickel deposition, has high hardnes ( approx. 500 to 700Hv ) and has been applied widely for CC moulds, which is requested a high hardness and heat resistance, has become the world standard now.
Also it has been applied successfully on a calender roll which don't like to transfer a tortoiseshell pattern on to a film due to the micro-crack on chrome deposition filled up with a plating has many types such as Ni-Co, Co-Ni, Ni-Co-W etc., and it has been used for various purposes.
A thin chrome deposition ( 0.02 to 0.03mm ) on a nickel alloy plating is quite effective to prevent initial abrasion.
