TRIVALENT HARD CHROME PLATING UNDER DEVELOPING NOW !

Trivalent chrome plating, an alternative to harmful hexavalent chrme plating, has been studying for ling years, and now it has lately been put to practical use for decorative purposes. The decorative trivalent chrome plating is very thin, and can not be used for industrial purposes.
So the development of industrial trivalent chrome has been proseeded in Japan, USA and European Union recently. Particularly, the Hoshino Bath, developed by Dr. S. Hoshino, emeritus professor of Tokyo City University, is far superior to the others, and now many trials using Hoshino Bath are Still enderway in various indestries worldwide.

Koka Chrome, of course, has been taken part in the project having a subsidy from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry from an early stage, and has reached to a certain level which is able toe apply on small rolls as shown in the next page.
The reseach of physical properties and real operation tests are undergoing now, such as a atrial run at test cold mill to check the performance of our trivalent chrome plating.

There are some points to be refined on thes trivalent chrome, at the same time, it is also able to obtain high hardness, over 1,800Hv depending on a process condition.
Further reseach and development are expected to obtain new harmless surface treatment which is alternative to hexavalent chrome with bright prospects.

We are awaiting user's proposal and challenge for trial run of this trivalent chrome plating at any time!

MULTIFUNCTIONAL SURFACE TREATMENT ON CARBON ROLL

T-die and lip are moulds to from thin and long plastic film, and very accurate surface finishing is required as well as uniti-corrosion and wear resistant characteristics. Ni alloy plating is used as a single layer or under-coat of hard chrome plating.
